Not Thankful But Grateful…Let Me Explain

On Thanksgiving day, many families gather around the table, holding hands, sharing stories on what they’re thankful for. It’s appropriate for the theme and acceptable because you should be appreciative for the blessings you have everyday.

Unfortunately, for me, I’m not only thankful; I’m grateful. With so much going on in the world today, I’m so grateful that my 16 year old son wakes up in the room next to mine and says “Good morning mom”. I get that everyday. I’m grateful because not every mother or father has that opportunity. My prayers go out to them.

I’m also grateful for my health. Just a month ago, I had major surgery that put me out of commission and caused me to rely on others to care for me. I’m grateful that I have true loved ones who took time from their busy lives to cater to me. For that, I’m ever so grateful.

My job is another reason that I can be grateful. I get to talk to you everyday and play music that makes you laugh, dance, and day dream. Lol I’m happy that I have somewhere to go everyday. I have a car that works and gets me to work and I don’t have to worry about it overheating.

I’m grateful for the people in my life. Not everyone in my life cares for me the way that I care for them, but I’m still grateful because they keep me on my toes and help me to become a better friend and a stronger person.
I pray for all of those who pray for me; even those who forgot to.

You see I say that I’m grateful because I think that’s better than thankful. It means I’m expressing my gratitude. It’s the same as thankful but for me gratefulness just says something.

  

I’m grateful that I have a relationship with God and I can go to Him and pray for all those who simply can’t find that moment in their heart to pray or ask for help. I hear you and I take that from you and ask God to supply your every need and cover your footsteps as you walk in your purpose.

So, I just wanted to share what I’m most GRATEFUL for! And I could never forget about YOU! Thanks so much for your continued support! I couldn’t do it without you!
